The International Manufacturing Technology Show ( IMTS ) is the largest and longest-running industry trade show in the Western Hemisphere. Held every other year at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois, IMTS 2022 will be the 33rd occurrence of the event.

Connect.series
Our Connect.series launched globally in 2021 and consists of the Easy and Combo models of dot peen machines. The Easy model offers portability and wireless connection. It is also energy self-sufficient. The secure Wifi connection means freedom of movement of 10 meters. The lithium-ion 22V battery, which powers the Easy model, allows it to mark up to three times more than similar machines on the market. For more information, check out the Easy model page.
The Combo model allows the switch from portable to benchtop mode in less than 10 seconds.
Equipped with an ergonomic and universal mounting base to make easy and quick height adjustments, this model allows connection with various universal clamping systems. To find out more, check out the Combo page.
Graphix.series
We will also be showcasing our Graphix.series, a brand new all-in-one laser station model that provides a new user experience with new functions. This model offers precision and a high speed of execution, thanks to 3 levels of power available (20, 30, and 50W).
Multi-level markings are possible and 2D code marking is optimized, thanks to the control software developed by Technomark.
IMTS 2022 Specifics
The IMTS show 2022 provides a venue where manufacturing technology leaders can connect and be inspired. Industry professionals from around the globe will visit, with the goals of discovering the latest innovations in digital and traditional manufacturing, experiencing more than 15,000 new machining technologies, and finding processes that will help solve their manufacturing challenges and improve efficiency.
IMTS Chicago 2022 will include over 2,000 booths and various industries represented at nine pavilions. Those pavilions are focused on the following industries: Abrasive Machining/Sawing/Finishing, Additive Manufacturing, Controls & CAD-CAM, Fabricating & Lasers, Gear Generation, Machine Components/ Cleaning/ Environmental, Metal Removal, Quality Assurance, and Tooling & Workholding Systems.
The conference will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 12 -17. On Sept. 12, Job Shops Workshop Day 1 will take place between 11:45 a.m. and 3:15 p.m., while on Sept. 13, a Tech Leadership Summit will be held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Job Shops Featuring Modern Machine Shop’s Top Shops will be held from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Sept. 14 will feature an Industrial Laser Conference from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sept. 15 will include a 3D Printing Workshop from 1 to 5 p.m. Sept. 16 will include a Smarter Sourcing Symposium from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Presented by The Onshoring Project, the symposium will include direct strategies for sounder North American part production, which is more financially beneficial as well. Sept. 17 will offer a 12:30 p.m. discussion of Emerging Technologies and EMT.
In correlation with IMTS 2022, the Hannover Messe USA 2022 Conference will be taking place from Sept. 12 to 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, in McCormick Place’s East Building. Celebrating 10 years of co-location with IMTS, this conference hosts 500 companies, representing a variety of manufacturing verticals.
Transportation Tips for Navigating Chicago
Visiting Chicago and navigating the city’s busy streets is an adventure in and of itself. For an easy way to travel around the city center, utilize the Chicago Pedway, the system of underground tunnels and overhead bridges for pedestrians.
The city has a bike-share program for sunny days and for those who want to cover longer distances. There are also bike rentals and tours that can be scheduled.
If you enjoy traveling by water, the Chicago Water Taxi is a great way to see the Chicago Riverwalk or the West Loop area.
